Job Description

Select People Solutions is pleased to be working with our client as they search for an Accounting Supervisor to join their team. Successful candidates will be well versed in managing budgets, financial planning, and presenting reports. If you are a strategic leader looking for a role that allows you to oversee all things finance – we want to hear from you! Compensation & Hours :

  • The rate of pay will be $70K-85K / year based on experience
  • Monday- Friday
  • This role is based in office in Lethbridge, AB (no remote or hybrid available)

Position Summary :

  • Leading and developing the accounting and office staff
  • Offering accounting direction on all accounting processes including payroll and benefits
  • Streamlining the financial operations by developing policies, overseeing compliance, managing KPI’s, and streamlining operations
  • Compiling and presenting financial reports
  • Forecasting
  • Special projects and data analysis, including the monitoring of corporate credit, assessing risks, and investigating variances
  • Collaborating and building relationships with department leaders, government agencies, and other professional organizations
  • Meeting deadlines and managing month-end / year-end closing processes / audits

    • Required Qualifications :

  • 4+ years’ experience as a Controller, Finance Manager, or Accounting Technician
  • 1+ years’ experience in people management, including an ability to develop teams, manage conflict, and hold staff accountable
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate, mentor, and provide consultation
  • Unrivaled attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
