Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lab Manager to oversee daily operations at our laboratory. As Lab Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management, operation, and ensuring the efficiency, compliance, and safety of laboratory activities while supporting research, testing, and quality control initiatives.
Responsibilities :
- Coordination and planning all personnel and / or equipment needs for laboratory / pilot programs that occur at Integrated’s facilities (i.e., does not include field work).
- Supervise, mentor, and support lab technicians and research staff.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, safety protocols, and adherence to industry best practices across all operations.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for equipment and laboratory processes; carry out and improve upon processes that enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests related to water quality, treatment processes, and environmental analysis.
- Accountable for maintaining inventory and inventory system, and responsible for submitting purchase orders for additional supplies and equipment for approval.
- Implementing procedures for the proper care and maintenance of the lab, equipment, pilot facility, and storage areas. Maintenance involves inspection, cleaning, calibration, testing, and repair of lab equipment.
- Maintain detailed records, analyze data, and contribute to technical report, proposals and presentations.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored water treatment solutions.
- Record, analyze, and interpret pilot and full-scale water treatment systems for mining operations.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure high quality deliverables.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biogeochemistry, or a related field (PhD preferred but not required).5+ years of experience in a lab management or similar role, ideally within water treatment, mining, or oil and gas sectors.Strong understanding of water treatment technologies, microbiology assays, and biogeochemistry.Strong knowledge of laboratory management systems, quality control processes, and safety regulations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Legally able to work in Canada.What We’re Looking For :
