Skills Provision is searching for a Quality Assurance Technician for a company in Canada.
Our client is a leading supplier of tea and coffee throughout the country. They still follow traditional artisan practices whilst embracing quality and authenticity.

Role
- Conduct daily quality checks throughout the evaluation process.
- Record and communicate lab results to the Plant Management Team.
- Perform additional testing and analysis when required.
- Assist QA Manager in monthly food safety audit checks.
- Assist the QA manager in completing twice yearly mock recalls.
- Oversee the non-conforming product program ensuring accurate documentation.
- Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and in working order.
- Ensure department tasks are carried out correctly and in a safe, timely manner.
Requirements
- Degree qualification preferred.
- Trained in statistical process control (SPC).
- Familiarity with third party audits.
- Two years of quality assurance or manufacturing experience, or a combination of both.
- Ability to prioritise and manage time efficiently.
- Organised and able to handle multiple tasks at any one time.
- Self-directed, able to work autonomously.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Excellent people skills.
- Strong understanding of coffee and tea components.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to uphold quality standards.
- Ability to analyse data and make recommendations on system and process improvements.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
