Tax Preparer

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in Burnaby, British Columbia. The role is within the industry and will be based in a detail oriented setting. As a Tax Preparer, you will be tasked with duties such as data entry of T1's, administrative duties, and scheduling tasks.

Responsibilities :

• Handle data input of T1's with accuracy and efficiency
• Undertake administrative tasks as per the work flow
• Engage in scheduling tasks using Excel
• Ensure all data entered is correct and updated
• Utilize Excel and Cantex software for various tasks
• Respond to and resolve any issues that may arise during the data entry process
• Ensure strict adherence to regulations and standards when carrying out tasks
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain a high level of detail orientation and confidentiality at all times.
• Applicant should have at least 1 year of experience as a Tax Preparer
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Strong data entry skills are essential
• Knowledge of tax laws and regulations is necessary
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Good communication skills to interact with clients and explain tax issues
• Detail-oriented and high accuracy in calculations
• Ability to meet tight deadlines during tax season
• Willingness to stay updated with changes in tax legislation
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
