Cooking Instructor 1 25015C Casual North Vancouver Recreation & Culture (NVRC) is dedicated to building healthy individuals, families and communities. NVRC offers a wide range of recreation and cultural programs and services to residents of all ages and abilities. We are currently seeking energetic, responsible and highly-motivated individuals who are able to prepare and lead a variety of age appropriate cooking and baking programs for preschool, school age children and adults. DUTIES : As a casual Cooking Instructor 1 you will be responsible for lesson planning, and delivering a fun and interactive culinary learning experience for adults, school age, and / or preschool agechildren. Programs may include both cooking and baking components. Programs run Mon-Fri at a variety of times through the week. Shifts range in length from 3.5 hours to 7 hours. SKILLS REQUIRED :
QUALIFICATIONS : Applicants must be minimum 16 years of age, with culinary aptitude and have previous experience planning and leading preschool, school age, youth or adult programs. Successful candidates must have current Food Safe Level 1, Emergency or Standard First Aid, CPR Level C. High Five certification must be obtained within 3 months of employment. All employees should be prepared to work at any North Vancouver Recreation & Culture location. All candidates are required to submit a Police Information Check as a requirement of the position prior to any appointment. The pay for this casual position ranges between $21.84-$23.92 per hour, based on education and experience, plus 4% vacation pay. Programs run Mon-Fri at a variety of times through the week.
