Since its incorporation in the ’80s, our client has designed more than thousands of industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential buildings throughout Canada and the USA!About the Role As the Electrical Designer / EIT, you will liaise with internal engineers / staff to gather project requirements and designs, create detailed designs with CAD software, perform electrical load calculations for residential, commercial, or mixed-use buildings (including high-rise buildings), and prepare and review rough sketches and review them. As well as this, you will identify potential issues and redesign drafting standards to improve functionality and coordinate utility services with BC hydro, Telus and Shaw.ResponsibilitiesTo succeed in this role, you will have 2+ years of experience in the industry, ideally with commercial, residential, or mixed used buildings. You will have your Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology and be eligible to obtain P.Eng. Experience with CAD will be necessary and specifically developing construction documents would be beneficial.
