Job description

Director, Head of Operations – iGaming & Crypto

Location : Toronto, Ontario, Canada (On-site)

This senior leadership role is responsible for driving the operational success of a crypto-focused product line within an internationally expanding iGaming company. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, hands-on operational expertise, and a deep understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Act as the key leader for a crypto-focused product, shaping it into a fully independent business unit aligned with overall company objectives.
  • Define and execute operational frameworks, including policies, procedures, and launch strategies to ensure a seamless rollout.
  • Take ownership of regulatory and compliance measures, including security, AML, KYC, and licensing, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team with the necessary expertise to scale the product effectively.
  • Partner closely with internal teams—particularly technology, product, and compliance—to drive efficiency and optimize product performance.
  • Foster collaboration with external partners, regulators, and other stakeholders to support business growth and ensure compliance.

Desired Experience :

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operational or business leadership roles, such as COO, Head of Operations, or Operations Director, preferably within a crypto-focused business.
  • iGaming sector experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of cryptocurrency operations, compliance requirements, and security best practices.
  • Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and adaptable to high-growth, fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
