Job descriptionTHIS POSITION IS ON SALT SPRING ISLAND AND IS LIVE-OUT We are a group of three Salt Spring Island mums getting ready to go back to work and seeking a nanny to care for our toddlers, who are in the 12-18 month age range. You would be looking after 1 or 2 of them at a time (not all 3 at once!) and we'd be hosting primarily at one of our homes in Vesuvius. As you may know, daycare is hard to come by on our island these days, especially for younger children, so we are working together to organize a nanny share. The position is a live-out arrangement with some flexibility on start date, part-time or full-time hours, and number of toddlers you'd be caring for at once. More details : Start date the beginning of AprilWe intend for this to be a full-time Monday-Friday job by mid April - but we are also able to start off at 3 days / week in April (Tues-Thurs) and increase to full-time at a later dateWe have different options on how we split / share the care and whether you care for one or two children at a timeThis job could be full-time for one person, or we could hire two people part-time; we are flexible on this too!We are looking for someone with childcare experience of some kind - nannying, babysitting, family caregiving, ECE, etc. Infant choking / CPR training and basic first-aid training are a mustCriminal record check and recent references will be requiredWe are looking for a nurturing and responsible individual who has experience in infant care. The ideal candidate should be able to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for our little ones.
