POSITION SUMMARY

TCF Canada is seeking a dynamic, visionary and hands-on Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organization in its mission to provide quality education to underprivileged children. The CEO will be responsible for strategic leadership, operational management, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement to advance the organization's goals. The role demands a forward-thinking, digital-savvy leader who can leverage emerging technology tools to enhance operational efficiency, engage younger generations, and inspire a diverse community of donors and volunteers. The successful candidate will bring innovation to every aspect of operations, prioritizing creative solutions that reflect a disciplined approach to resource allocation. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors and supervising a current team of three full-time staff, you will collaborate with local and international stakeholders, donors, volunteers and service providers to expand the reach and impact of TCF Canada’s programs. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to lead an impactful organization at a pivotal point in its growth journey.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic leadership and implement plans to achieve TCF Canada's mission and vision.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring program effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee financial management, including planning, budgeting and reporting to ensure fiscal responsibility and transparency.
  • Collaborate with the Board to set and achieve strategic objectives and maintain transparent governance practices.
  • Inspire and lead staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, inclusion and leadership in digital transformation to enhance organizational efficiency, program delivery, donor engagement and fundraising outcomes.
  • Serve as the “face” of TCF Canada, in conjunction with Board members, enhancing the organization’s visibility and credibility.
  • Advocate for the organization through public engagements, stakeholder partnerships, community outreach and fundraising program leadership.
  • Passionate commitment to TCF Canada's mission and values, with non-negotiable integrity, accountability, and ethical leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Education : Minimum Canadian bachelor’s degree or equivalent education / experience; MBA or other higher-level degree preferred.
  • Leadership : Minimum of ten years' experience with 5+ years in a senior leadership role (ideally in the non-profit sector), with demonstrated success in organizational growth and strategy. Demonstrated ability to inspire and attract top talent, as well as recruit and retain dedicated volunteers.
  • Fundraising & Digital Savvy : Proven record in securing funding (including grants), leveraging digital marketing strategies, and engaging younger generations by tailoring communication strategies and initiatives to their interests and values. Experience working with public and / or private sector organizations to build impactful partnerships.
  • Governance & Financial Acumen : Experience with board collaboration, budgeting, financial planning, and compliance.
  • Community Presence & Awareness : Ability to navigate diverse stakeholder contexts (Pakistani and Canadian) and maintain a visible community presence within and outside of the Pakistani diaspora. Demonstrated ability to be highly visible in relevant community, business and professional circles, including actively participating in social and fundraising events. A deep understanding of key players and emerging trends in the non-profit sector.
  • COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

    Competitive salary commensurate with experience, including benefits package.

    The role is based in Oakville, Ontario, with some flexibility for hybrid work (subject to organizational needs).
