Director of Telecommunications B2B Sales

Toronto, ON (Onsite)

Salary $130,000 to $140,000 + Benefits, Quarterly Bonus

Our client has been an Industry leader for over 25 years in the electronics distribution space and continues to grow and increase market share across different verticals internationally.

Purpose of the role :

Director of Telecommunications B2B Sales will be responsible for implementing the plan and execution of B2B go-to-market strategy to drive sales performance, recruit and manage new and existing customers while ensuring superior execution of sales standards / processes and providing an exceptional customer experience. You will be responsible for accelerating expansion into the B2B space, leading and scaling a world-class team to target, develop, and close high-value clients across the enterprise world.

Responsibilities :

  • Work closely with SLT (Senior Leadership Team) and the Business Sales Team to accelerate the expansion of business in the enterprise space.
  • Develop, in conjunction with business partners, the B2B go-to-market strategy to deliver growth in alignment with the business expectations
  • Prospecting for new Medium Business clients across all business solutions, through value conversations.
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with key decision makers within accounts
  • Present complete lifecycle solutions to potential and current customers, providing an exceptional client experience.
  • Provides and models outstanding services to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Function as both a “player” and a “coach”, spending time both operating to close clients on the front lines and guiding the team’s development.
  • Develop and execute a plan for scaling the team structure and goals, as well as the interviewing standards and hiring plans needed to achieve these goals.
  • Set aggressive sales goals for your team and take full ownership over leading the team to meet those goals.
  • Develop account prioritization criteria and work with members of the Business Sales Team to prioritize their target client portfolios.
  • Regularly meet with members of the Business Sales Team to review activity, guide further direction, evaluate performance, and develop coaching plans.
  • Directly supports in recruitment, promotion, retention, and termination of Business Sales Team
  • Develops various KPIs and metrics to evaluate operational success, report on findings and initiate / implement plans for success.
  • Ensures compliance with Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code and Occupational Health and Safety
  • Provides leadership and instills best working practice within the Business Sales team to establish a best-in-class service environment.
  • Owns his / her projects and exceeds expectations, with ability to find solutions and deliver results within a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial, technology-driven culture.

Skills / Competencies :

Education and Experience :  10+ years of proven success leading face to face sales role. Successful experience as a sales team leader at a rapidly growing organization.

Skills :  Exceptional leader and coach who can both work with salespeople on the front lines and also develop and execute coaching plans for the team’s continued development, Creative, entrepreneurial salesperson with exceptional leadership and critical thinking skills, Highly capable of motivating and leading the team in responding to consistent challenges and going above and beyond as needed, Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of organization, Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and effective decision-making skills, Strong sense of urgency, multi-tasking skills and detail oriented

Knowledge :  Sound knowledge of the telecommunications industry along with strong analytical and budgeting skills to effectively analyze financial reports, Intermediate to advanced knowledge and hands on experience in Microsoft Office applications – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
