LAYOUT

The Layout Lead is an integral part of the on-site team and is responsible for organizing, overseeing, and preparing site layouts for all aspects of the concrete formwork industry. Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the layout lead is also responsible for :

the completion and sign-off of all quality control reports

communicating with the project teams, detailers and the estimating divisions

performing technical and administrative work relating to the layout of grid lines, pour heights, slabs, columns and beams

Complying with all WorkSafe (WCB) procedures / safety practices including on site work practices and guidelines and ensuring site cleanliness

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :

Commercial and / or Infrastructure construction experience / formwork is considered an asset

Proficient with the use of robotic instruments and laser levels

Basic proficiency with MS Suite – Outlook, Word and Excel

Knowledge of Peri and Doka systems is considered an asset

Knowledge of AutoCAD is considered an asset

Ability to interpret blueprints and apply that knowledge effectively

Ability to work safely and efficiently under minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team

Ability to follow directions well

Ability to communicate effectively and positively while under pressure and time constraints

Must be conscientious, detail-oriented, and perform work with extreme accuracy

Must have personal protection equipment (PPE), fall protection gear and the appropriate ticket(s)

Must be able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions and carry at least 50lbs (pounds) of weight

Must be willing and able to work overtime as required

Must be dependable and have a reliable means of transportation to job sites
