Business Intelligence Engineer - Power BI [BHJOB13022_13604]

On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Business Intelligence Engineer (Power BI) to join our Client's team on a 6-month contract , with the possibility of two 3-month extensions. This role is Remote , with occasional onsite requirements, and the Client is based in Victoria, BC.

Summary of the Role :

Our client is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to support the migration of reports from SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to Power BI and Azure Cloud tools. The successful candidate will develop complex dashboards, paginated reports, and SQL datasets while ensuring a seamless transition from legacy reporting platforms.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement medium- to high-complexity Power BI dashboards and paginated reports.
• Extract, transform, and analyze data from complex data stores.
• Work independently to understand legacy reports and port logic to Power BI and SQL.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design data visualization solutions with an optimal user experience.
• Support technical data analysis and data governance efforts.
