What you will be doing :
Consistently offering thoughtful professional and proactive guest serviceHaving full knowledge of beverage lists promotions menu items garnishes and preparation methodsAssisting guests with menu items in an informative engaging and helpful mannerMixing drinks and craft cocktails to standard while controlling and monitoring inventoryActively seeking dietary restrictions and allergies from guests and communicating to kitchen staff accordinglyHandling guest concerns swiftly and graciously offering remarkable recovery and a commitment to continuous improvementEnsuring service essentials quality and service standards are met throughout the guest experience from arrival to departureSetting up mise en place side stations bar and bar settings according to standardsSupporting colleagues during service to ensure a consistent guest experience including running food refreshing beverages and clearing / resetting tables when neededSetting furniture in the bar and lounge area in a consistent clean and inviting mannerEnsuring accuracy in billing promotions and loyalty program offeringsFollowing all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beveragesPerforming all other duties as assignedQualifications :
To be successful in this role we ask that you have :
At least one year of experience in a highvolume upscale restaurant with a serviceoriented personalityPrevious experience in a luxury hotel environment is preferredThe ability to remain calm courteous and focused on guest needs at all timesStrong communication interpersonal and problemsolving skillsProven ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectivelyAbility to perform well under pressure in a fastpaced environmentA teamoriented mindset with the ability to collaborate cohesively with colleaguesA high level of responsibility reliability and a commitment to impeccable grooming and professionalismIndepth knowledge of wine spirits beer cocktails and specialty coffeesA valid Serving It Right CertificationFlexibility to work a schedule that includes weekends holidays evenings and rotating shiftsProfessional proficiency in both written and spoken EnglishPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to) :
Constant standing and walking throughout the shiftFrequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.Frequent kneeling pushing and pullingFrequent ascending or descending ladders stairs and rampsProven ability to carry three entre plates or more at one timeAdditional Information :
