Job description

Location : Montreal, In officeReporting to the Head of Human Resources, the Payroll Lead will oversee the day-to-day payroll activities for approximately 215 employees located across Canada and the United States. They will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payroll, as well as maintaining a robust quarterly audit process.Responsibilities : Input, audit, and process monthly, semi-monthly, and bi-weekly payroll for all employees across the UK, US, and CanadaEnsure provincial, state and federal compliance globallyReport and remit to multiple state authorities during quarterly filing periodsManage Canadian and US benefits programs enrolments and rate updatesProvide updates with regards to global payroll regulationsPartner with HR for onboarding and off-boardingAssist with the preparation and execution of year end audits and tasksPrepare monthly reports for Finance or other departments as neededConduct regularly scheduled audits of payroll records to ensure continued accuracyMaintain payroll system by updating configurations and creating support tickets for any errorsImprove payroll processes and procedures and drive continuous improvementRequirements : Minimum 2 years of payroll experience, specifically with processing payroll and conducting auditsBachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or a related fieldKnowledge of pension and benefits plansExperience using payroll software; experience using Dayforce an assetStrong technical skills with Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel reportingPayroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation – an assetBenefits : Full health insurance plan (including medical, dental, and vision).Daily on-site meals & snacks.Fitness subscription reimbursement program.Competitive compensation plan and bonus structure.Who we are : Valnet is a company unlike any other.
