The Role : As an RN-A in the ICU Department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including intensivists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and compassionate patient care.
Responsibilities :
- Provide direct, specialized nursing care according to established policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop and implement individualized care plans for critically ill patients.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assist with advanced medical procedures and interventions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care for complex patient needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to emergencies, ensuring appropriate interventions are carried out in a timely manner.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in nursing.Current, unrestricted RN license in your current province.Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an ICU setting (most recent experience).ACLS, BLS, and other relevant certifications.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.Critical thinking and advanced problem-solving abilities, particularly in emergency situations.Please note that we are exclusively recruiting people who can legally work in Canada.
