Employment Details :

Reporting to : Vice President of Operations

Work Term : Permanent- Full Time

Working Hours : 39 hours per week total + overtime as required

Monday-Thursday : 8 : 00am – 4 : 30pm

Friday : 8 : 00am – 3 : 30pm

Job Summary :

The Plant Manager oversees daily warehouse production, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, and on-time while maintaining quality assurance. The departments within production include : Machining, Digital Printing, Plastic, Millwork and Aluminum Fabrication and, Logistics. This is a hands-on role, working within production while maintaining administrative responsibilities, displaying technical skills and a strong demonstration of leadership.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Production Management : Maintain schedules and data entry using a Manufacturing Execution System called Click Up to monitor and balance project demands among cross-functional departments, for dynamic workflow optimization prioritizing quality control, and labor optimization.
  • Team Supervision : Manage and support a group of team leads and production staff across multiple departments, maintaining productivity and safety. A “lead by example mentality” with experience in onboarding and training new staff.
  • Communication : Involved in daily and weekly status report meetings with key contributors based on scope of job. This expectation includes verbal and written reporting methods. Seek and share information from all stakeholders throughout all departments through appropriate channels promptly
  • Participative Leadership : Work directly with teams, demonstrating tool usage and troubleshooting production issues. A problem-solving mentality with the ability to jump in and work with the team as necessary is the expectation for this role.
  • Technical Proficiency : The ability to visualize and understand how to construct display products efficiently; with sequence of manufacturing, talent capabilities, material constraints and cost considerations in mind.
  • Preventative Maintenance : Monitor status of all machinery, maintaining routine maintenance schedules to ensure production is fully operational.
  • Material Management : Overseeing material planning, procurement, inventory control and, distribution based on recognized purchasing patterns, job demands and future predictions
  • Leadership & Mentorship : Inspire, train, and develop team members across all levels, providing clear direction, coaching, and support. Effectively manage and resolve conflicts, ensuring a collaborative and inclusive work environment that fosters teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications :

Post-secondary education

  • Non-specific, demonstrate capacity to learn
  • Experienced strategic management process : Planning, Organizing, Leading

  • Minimum of 5 years in a management role
  • Extensive practical experience in manufacturing fabrication

  • Must have past experience working within a production setting
  • Organizational skills

  • Effectively manage and prioritize a high volume of information while ensuring optimal warehouse facility operations, including space utilization, organization, and cleanliness. Demonstrate strong multitasking abilities to oversee multiple workflows, maintain efficiency, and drive operational excellence.
  • Critical and creative thinking skills

  • Quick decision-making to overcome obstacles to maintain quality and timeliness.
