About the Role & Team
The Senior Operational Compliance Analyst will be responsible for assisting with operational compliance matters for the real money interactive sportsbook and online casino under any of the Penn National Brands.
This role will serve as a resource to the Regulatory Compliance Manager, Casino and Sportsbook teams to ensure that the digital business is aligned with the best practices established by the Compliance team, regulatory bodies, Penn Interactive and theScore.
As the business rapidly grows, the Senior Operational Compliance Analyst will assist in assessing business needs and operational efficiencies.
The position will also assist in key areas such as : rule and regulations review, internal control drafting and review, regulatory reporting, operational consulting, and complaint management.
About the Work
- Partners with teams across the organization in an effort to align internal controls with requirements outlined by regulatory bodies and standard business practices in each state of operation.
- Stay apprised of regulatory changes and update Internal Controls as necessary to ensure control documentation is aligned with current requirements.
- Communicate necessary updates to internal controls to Operations, Product, and Technical teams to ensure pertinent controls are implemented into standard operating procedures.
- Assists with drafting and editing regulatory reports and maintaining rapport with regulators in each state of operation.
- Monitors and investigates as needed, operational and procedural compliance relating to internal controls, complaints, regulatory reporting, and Responsible Gaming.
- Assists with the development and maintenance of compliance record keeping reports and systems.
- Analyzes operational processes to identify areas to improve efficiency and reporting.
- Assists with developing internal policies and operating procedures.
- Proactively identifies and anticipates issues that may negatively impact business and make the necessary changes to implement operations-based solutions.
- Actively researches industry compliance regulations and policies and provide feedback to the Compliance Team
- Partners with other departments as needed to support the organization's needs.
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
About You
- Bachelor's Degree required. Preference in legal, audit or regulatory related field.
- 2+ years of work experience within a similar role. Experience in the Gambling industry is a plus.
- Able to understand and interpret regulatory standards and changes and communicate effectively with Gaming Regulators.
- Strong ability to analyze and document necessary business processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understand regulatory requirements for licensing, operations and products.
- Desire to work with a team and also independently as required.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills required.
- Results, goal, and detailed oriented.
- Experience in gathering and understanding requirements and the ability to negotiate the "Right Solution" for the business while meeting all regulatory expectations.
- Experience working with development teams to plan and deliver solutions on time to outside parties such as Banks, Regulators and Gaming Certification Service Providers.
- Must be able to meet deadlines and to work under the pressure of short time constraints.
- Must be able to develop and maintain cordial and professional relationships with all levels of the business.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
