QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have :
- A degree in engineering (civil, geological, environmental, mechanical, or chemical) or a degree in geoscience from a Canadian-accredited university.
- 5-10 years of experience in environmental consulting or related fields, ideally in Atlantic Canada.
- A Professional Engineer ( P.Eng. ) or Professional Geoscientist ( P.Geo. ) designation, or eligibility for registration with APEGNB, Engineers Nova Scotia, or equivalent regulatory bodies.
- A valid driver’s license, insurance, and vehicle for travel to and from project sites.

The Environmental Professional (Branch Manager) will play a key role in delivering complex environmental projects across Atlantic Canada. Key responsibilities include :
Lead the development and expansion of a new environmental services branch in Saint John.Supporting business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and contributing to proposals.Recruiting, mentoring, and training new staff to establish an effective team.Leading the preparation and review of project deliverables, including Phase I / II / III Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Hazardous Building Materials Assessments, and Closure Reports.Developing and managing field programs, including soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and vapour sampling, as well as hazardous building material and designated substance sampling.Analyzing and interpreting environmental data, including laboratory results, borehole / test pit logs, and field notes, to provide practical recommendations.Preparing and reviewing technical proposals, budgets, and work plans for environmental projects.Providing expert guidance to clients regarding regulatory requirements and project strategies, ensuring compliance with local and provincial regulations.Coordinating with laboratories, subcontractors, clients, and third-party stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.This position requires travel within Atlantic Canada and may involve occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.
