Job Summary
The Team
As a Probation Officer, you will be part of a dedicated and collaborative team committed to supporting safer communities through effective community supervision. Whether working alongside colleagues in an office or remotely, you will contribute to a respectful and inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives and experiences. Reporting to the Local Manager, you will have the support and guidance needed to navigate complex cases while upholding the principles of fairness, equity, and accountability in your role as an officer of the court.
The Role
As a Probation Officer, you will play a key role in supporting adult clients under community supervision by assessing their risks and needs, creating case management plans, and providing guidance to help them make positive changes. You will work closely with the Court and other decision-makers to recommend fair and appropriate outcomes while applying evidence-based principles that support rehabilitation. Education and Experience Requirements
Note : If post-secondary education was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services. You must provide a Comprehensive Report by the closing date of this posting to be considered.

About this Position :
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to one (1) day at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.

A Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) and Enhanced Security Screening will be required.
Additionally, successful candidates must submit to and successfully pass fingerprint screening by RCMP or municipal police and JUSTIN and CORNET provincial database checks.
