Overview of the Role
The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis will have the opportunity to provide deep insights into the monthly, quarterly and yearly financial results for the business as well as support forecasting activities and advanced analytics.
The Senior Analyst, FP&A will also act as a trusted business partner to all business units leveraging resources across the organization to contribute to the identification of actionable insights for strategic decision making.

How you will make contributions that matter :
Perform variance analyses and data validation of periodic divisional reports received by the Corporate team. The FP&A Senior Analyst will be responsible to analyse divisional performance compared to comparative period and budget and prepare the monthly performance packages for senior management.
Participate in divisional monthly calls (between divisional finance teams and corporate FP&A teams) which serve as a validation process in the analysis of results.
Be proactive in asking questions during those calls and in organizing separate ad hoc calls / emails if required to obtain more in-depth information.
Serve as a business partner to the respective divisions’ finance teams.
Actively involved in the preparation of quarterly and annual public financial reports, more notably the Management Discussion & Analysis as well as supporting documentation presented to senior management and the Board of Directors.
Participate in the preparation of the consolidated annual budget process and supporting presentation to senior management and to the Board of Directors.
Participate in the preparation of annual reporting documents (e.g. the Annual Information Form, the Saputo Promise, etc).
Help prepare the documentation required for external and internal audits.
Produce structured analyses and ad hoc reports requested by management.
Participate in the information gathering and preparation of supporting documentation required by the internal and external auditors.
Participate in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives around financial processes and analysis models.
Participate in special projects in which corporate accounting could be involved.
Participate in the professional development of team members.
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications :
- CPA Certification;
- Minimum of 5 years experience required;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated discipline, organizational skills and attention to details as well as an ownership and team-player mindset
Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English and French.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of SAP and Workiva, an asset.
As part of their duties, the incumbent will have to communicate and collaborate in English, both orally and in writing with colleagues or other stakeholders in Quebec as well as in the rest of Canada or in North America.
