MMA Vézina is looking for the ideal candidate for the position of Claim Adjuster for our offices located in Montreal on Pierre-De Coubertin Avenue, near the Olympic Stadium.
Responsibilities :
- Manage medium to high complexity claims for all insurance lines (Property, General civil liability, Errors & Omissions, Directors & Officers liability and others)
- Receive claims notices and contact the insured;
- Proceed to a preliminary verification of the extent of the insurance coverage and provide the necessary information to the insured, in collaboration with the account executive;
- Monitor the claims by means of regular communications with insureds, claims adjusters and / or other stakeholders in the file, to ensure that the investigation remains ongoing and that the information is communicated when necessary;
- Perform a basic verification of the information provided by the insured to support the claim, throughout the process leading to the settlement of the claim;
- Record and maintain all information relating to the claim’s file, including reserves, settlement, negotiations and recovery activities and any other information deemed relevant;
- Keep the account executive and account representative informed of the evolution of the claims file;
- Ensure customer service meets the company's standards of excellence, strategies and initiatives;
- Collaborate with other departments of the company in the development, implementation and / or modification of existing programs as well as in the search for new programs.
Skills and qualities sought :
- Have a minimum of five years experience in insurance claim in a relevant insurance line;
- Hold a claims adjuster permit issued by the Autorité des marchés financiers;
- Have completed a university or college diploma or equivalent work experience;
- A relevant combination of work experience related to the insurance industry and of studies can be considered;
- Be bilingual (French and English);
- Be proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook software;
- Be proficient with TAM software (an asset).
