Senior AccountantWe are currently seeking a Senior Accountant for one of our clients located in Ville St-Laurent. This is a permanent position within a global manufacturing company. The ideal candidate is a CPA candidate or holds a CPA designation, has accounting experience in the construction industry, and possesses knowledge of IFRS standards. Join a dynamic team and contribute to the organization's growth!Location : Ville St-Laurent, 2 days per weekBenefits : Salary : $80,000 to $95,000 + bonusResponsibilities : Lead and participate in the monthly and annual financial close process.Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.Analyze financial data and provide insights to management regarding cost control, cost-saving opportunities, revenue trends, and profitability.Review job costing and work-in-progress (WIP) reports to ensure proper cost allocation and revenue recognition.Assist in the development and execution of integration plans for accounting processes and financial operations of newly acquired entities.Ensure all accounting adjustments related to acquisitions are properly recorded, including fair value adjustments and amortization of intangible assets.Train the acquired company's accounting staff.Develop and update accounting procedures and controls to align with the parent company's standards while considering the acquired company's practices.Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process for new entities, following parent company guidelines.Review and implement internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with parent company requirements.Help implement controls to accurately track materials, labor, subcontractors, and overhead costs on projects.Requirements : CPA designation or CPA candidate5 years of accounting experience, including 2 years in project accounting within the construction industryKnowledge of IFRS standardsBilingual (basic functional French and advanced English)Strong leadership skills, initiative, and ability to work in dynamic and evolving environmentsExperience with ERP systems and project management software is a strong assetThe masculine form is used solely for the purpose of simplifying the text.About Artemis : Artemis provides high-standard recruitment services specializing in accounting and finance for both temporary and permanent positions.
