Responsibilities : Design, analyze, and select mechanical systems and components for marine applications, including piping, pumps, HVAC, gas, and other mechanical systemsPerform equipment sizing and calculations to ensure proper integration into ship designsCreate and review detailed machine drawings, ensuring all components meet design standardsConduct finite element analysis (FEA), including vibration and whirling analysis to ensure structural integrityCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet safety, performance, and design requirementsCommunicate technical information clearly to both internal teams and external clients, especially in verbal formQualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldExperience with mechanical systems such as piping, pumps, HVAC, and gas systems (marine experience is a plus but not required)Proficiency in AutoCAD (experience with Ship Constructor is a bonus)Strong analytical skills, including finite element analysis (FEA) and vibration analysisExcellent communication skills, with a particular emphasis on verbal communication Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysisSalary Range : $90-110k / yearPlease note that the posted salary range for this role may vary based on seniority, qualifications, or prior experience.
