We are actively seeking a Business Analyst - Asset Management to join our team in Calgary for a 1-year fixed term position, with potential of extension.
Reporting to the Asset Management Team Lead, the successful candidate will work closely with the Maintenance and Production Operations departments by providing training, support, requirements gathering and technical guidance for asset record management.
Essential Functions :
Identify and analyze opportunities for current asset record management improvements.
Create and maintain Master Data records (Locations, Assets, PM’s, item’s etc.)
Act as an active member within the support team by attending to more advanced ticket from the user base.
Generate reports and identify gaps and trends.
Vacation coverage for Maintenance Analyst
Understand and support the prospective of Strathcona phased approach and strategic objectives.
Prepare appropriate documentation to communicate and validate information.
Deliver training of Maximo software specific to asset management using company business workflows.
Assist in optimizing the use of Maximo.
Maintain Master Data quality assurance through audit reporting.
Assist in mentoring junior team members.
Qualifications Include :
Skills and Knowledge :
Strong knowledge of asset management and associated business processes is required.
Deep understanding of equipment used in Thermal, Conventional Heavy and Natural Gas operating facilities is required.
Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio).
Strong organizational skills.
Exceptional communication skills
Thrives in a fast-paced work environment while meeting goals and deadlines
High attention to detail.
Demonstrated analytical skills.
Advanced competency of MS Excel.
Experience with Jira ticketing system or equivalent
Self-driven and able to work both independently and in a team
Knowledge of SQL programming language considered an asset.
Education and Experience :
5-7 years of experience in a similar role in the oil and gas industry is required
Maximo software experience is preferred.
Experience in planning / scheduling maintenance programs is considered an asset
Experience in Tableau is considered an asset
Work Environment :
Based at our Calgary head office.
Occasional travel may be required.
