During your internship with our E stimati on team you will take part or lead tasks assigned to an E stimator. The E stimator reports to theChi ef E stimator and p reparesestimate s for public parapublic or private project s when EBCsubmits a call for tenders or bid.

The Estimator also activelyparticipates in preparing t he proposal to be submittedto the client.

Responsibilities

• Consultplans and specifications upon documentreception.
• Coordinatetasks with the Estimation Director and ProjectDirector.
• Discussapplicable work methods works to be subcontracted and callfor tenders risks and constraints.
• Coordinatequantities estimated with assignedtechnician / modeler.
• Establishwork schedules.
• Prepareand send to equipment and personnel managers a preliminary reportdetailing equipment or manpower needs and applicablerates.
• Determineif jobsite expertise isrequired.
• Participatein mandatory visits and / or client meetings for relevantinformation.
• Researchsubcontractor and supplierrates.
• Establishbid costs and specialconditions.
• Send bidcalculations to EstimationDirector.
• Preparesubmission reviews.
• Establishlasting professional relationships with subcontractors suppliersetc.
• Performany other related tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering and construction engineering; inprogress.
• Relevantexperience in engineering or construction anasset.
• Workingknowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Power Pointetc.).
• Adaptabilityand fastlearner.
