The Project Manager, New Tools Development reports to the Associate Director, Employer Initiatives and will work closely with all members of the GTB Team and other departments.
This role is responsible for managing the lifecycle development of several projects and tools, from concept through piloting, launch and ongoing improvement.
The Project Manager will ensure effective execution of new tools development processes, supporting the team in achieving key milestones and delivering high-quality products.
The Project Manager, New Tools Development will manage the integration of activities across various internal and external stakeholders, ensuring collaboration and efficient project execution by overseeing the development, implementation, and management of work plans that advance the development of new initiatives.
This role will be pivotal in supporting the launch of new iinitiatives that aim at raising employer awareness and influencing employer practices to enable immigrant and refugee inclusion into the Canadian workforce at commensurate levels in line with current and future priority areas for WES Canada.
Responsibilities
Project management and project development :
- Oversee the lifecycle development of multiple initiatives, including an employer navigator and refugee hiring events, ensuring that project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Prepare detailed project plans, briefs, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
- Conduct market research and analyze trends to inform new tool development decisions. Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine the tool features and functionalities.
- Utilize project management tools to track project progress, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies. Provide regular updates to senior management.
- Support tracking, monitoring, and evaluation of programmatic initiatives.
- Organize and facilitate workshops, focus groups, and other events that support project activities.
- Leverage technology solutions to enhance project management processes and improve team efficiency.
Stakeholder Collaboration :
- Ensures coordination and collaboration within the GTB team and with other WES departments where needed.
- Facilitate collaboration with external stakeholders and partners to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Assist in the development, implementation, coordination, and facilitation of working groups, virtual and in-person events, and campaigns as required to advance strategic and programmatic initiatives.
- Participate in and lead meetings with senior management and project teams to discuss project status, challenges, and opportunities.

Required
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in project management and execution and event management.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results.
- Experience in stakeholder management and collaboration across different departments.
- Demonstrated experience organizing collaborative events, both virtual and in-person.
- Knowledge of product lifecycle management and development processes.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring. Proficiency in using project management tool.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive) and Google Apps / G Suite.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

- The position is based anywhere in Canada WES operates. Ability to travel to Toronto and across Canada is required (up to 10%).

- Certificate in Project Management or similar.
- Experience in product development or a related field.
- Knowledge of CRM systems like Salesforce is preferred.
