If the following describes you :

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics management, business management or equivalent;
  • 10 years of relevant experience in procurement in the manufacturing sector;
  • Experience with international suppliers;
  • Knowledge of the steel industry;
  • Experience with ERP systems;
  • Be eligible for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP);
  • Bilingualism (French and English), both written and spoken.

    Responsibilities :

  • Research and negotiation :   Identify and evaluate the best suppliers of steel forged parts. Negotiate advantageous conditions to ensure profitable purchases.
  • Supplier management :   Establish and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers. Monitor their performance and quickly resolve any issues related to quality, delivery or pricing.
  • Demand forecasting :   Collaborate with production teams to anticipate needs and plan purchases accordingly.
  • Quality Assurance :   Ensure that all purchased parts meet specifications and quality standards. Work closely with the quality control team to resolve any potential issues.
  • Cost Management :   Analyze market trends to identify cost reduction opportunities. Implement effective strategies to optimize expenses while maintaining quality.
  • Documentation and Reporting :   Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities and savings achieved.
  • Problem Solving :   Manage daily issues between departments and with suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
