Job Description : Method Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Method Engineer to join our dynamic team. Bring your expertise and play a pivotal role in improving the reliability and performance of our products.

Responsibilities

As a Method Engineer , your key responsibilities will include :

  • Technical Documentation : Write clear and concise technical instructions for component repair activities and workshop support.
  • Design & Development : Design tools, test equipment, and software to test and certify components, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Continuous Improvement : Research and implement solutions to improve the reliability of components and reduce associated costs.
  • Service Bulletins (SBs) Review : Review and recommend improvements for the entire product portfolio by evaluating Service Bulletins (SBs) in terms of reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Component Reliability : Monitor and analyze component reliability in collaboration with key customers to ensure optimal performance.
  • Technical Investigation : Lead the technical investigation of customer component issues, offering effective solutions.
  • Production Support : Actively support production teams in resolving problems quickly and effectively.
  • Maintenance Manual Review : Review maintenance manuals and establish testing requirements for equipment, technician training, and material needs.
  • Project Management : Manage individual projects throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Financial Justifications : Prepare financial justifications to support the introduction of new products and improvements.
  • Technician Training : Assist in developing and delivering technician training to ensure high-quality standards and effective performance.
  • Technical Repairs : Review and implement technical repairs to recover parts and extend their useful life.

Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have :

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the aeronautics industry .
  • Specialty : Experience with mechanical systems such as flat, flap, hydraulic systems, and structural components.
  • Scope of Work : Knowledge of D-515, production support, work instruction creation, and work order creation.
  • Expertise : Strong knowledge of engineering and quality systems in an aerospace environment.
  • In-depth experience with mechanical or avionics components .
  • Familiarity with the 5S philosophy to maintain organization and efficiency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills , with the ability to read and understand complex maintenance manuals.
  • A strategic mindset, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills .
  • A detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and quality.

    • Required Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sector .

    • Compensation & Benefits

    For Contract Employees :

  • Hourly Rate : $50 / hour for contractors; $55 / hour with applicable licenses.
  • Per Diem : $50 / day for a 7 / 7 rotation when working 5 days per week.
  • Accommodation : Up to $1,500 / month provided.
  • Travel : Flights arranged at the start and end of the project.
  • Transportation : Shared vehicle available for every 4 team members.
  • Tools & Equipment : Access to high-performance tools and quality equipment in a collaborative environment.

    • For Permanent Employees :

  • Hourly Rate : $30–$40 / hour, based on qualifications and experience.

    • Shifts

  • Day Shift : 6 : 00 AM – 2 : 30 PM
  • Afternoon Shift : 2 : 30 PM – 11 : 00 PM
  • Monday to Friday, with potential for weekend overtime
