We are looking for a seasoned Product leader to join our Platforms Product team to lead a team of Product Managers working on multiple facets of our Data Platforms, including real-time, batch, analytics, and also Generative AI capabilities.

These platforms are leveraged by nearly all our employees for operational and analytical purposes, or for powering our ML applications.

We’re looking for someone who not only enjoys creating a bold vision, but also executing on their ideas through fruition on a global scale.

In this role, you will own a range of products that will offer cloud native Data & ML capabilities to our Engineers, Analysts, and Data Scientists developing customer and supplier-focused platforms.

Your goal will be to empower any team across the company with self-service software (with data or ML needs) to deploy, manage, and integrate their applications utilizing our data platforms.

This person will act with a high degree of freedom and ownership, setting platform vision, forming strong relationships with senior cross-functional partners (both technical and non-technical), aligning on a shared vision for success, and delivering results that create meaningful business impact.

This Product leader will serve as the subject matter expert, drive adoption for new use cases, and continually improve our platform capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, a deep understanding of data technologies, and a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.

What You’ll Do :

  • Product Leadership : Develop and drive the overall strategy for our Data Platforms, ensuring alignment with platforms strategy, along with delivering value for your users with in market usable solutions
  • Data Platforms : Oversee the lifecycle of data platform products, including Data Movement technologies (batch and real-time), Data Lakes, Data production and consumption patterns, quality management, enabling users to self-service these capabilities on our Google Cloud environment
  • BI and Analytics Strategy : Own the strategy and product development for Business Intelligence (BI) tooling and analytics, ensuring robust and scalable solutions for data analysis and visualization.
  • Team Management : Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Product Managers, creating an integrated strategy across your products, fostering a culture of collaboration, measurement and creating space to learn and improve.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, and other key stakeholders to ensure our data platforms meet their needs and drive business value.
  • Market Analysis : Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape to inform product decisions and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Product Metrics : Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of data platform products and drive continuous improvement.
  • Driving adoption and value realization : Market your product internally to various departments to ensure all available users know about your product and how they could value from it
  • Communication : Articulate product vision, strategy, and roadmap to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across the organization.

Maintain a product vision and roadmap, keeping stakeholders and constituents up to date on the top level goals and timelines

We Are a Match Because You Have :

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing data platforms or similar technologies.
  • 5+ years of product experience in developing data-driven products that are cloud native
  • Strong understanding of data movement technologies (batch and real-time), Data Lakes, analytical data systems, and ML development and analytics tools, such as for data exploration and BI dashboards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and a demonstrated ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Proven experience in leading and collaborating with senior stakeholders along with a multi-quarter roadmap with iterative value delivery
  • Demonstrable ability to be technically hands-on, up to architecting high-level system plans (no coding)
  • Understanding of big data technologies, data lakes, streaming / real-time data solutions
  • Understanding of Data & ML Infrastructure tooling / solutions and scaling on public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Ability to structure problems, develop clear hypotheses, and prioritize work against the largest impact initiatives
  • Experience working with multiple engineering teams, running their sprints, stand-ups, and backlog management
  • Cultivate senior presence and be the leader of your portfolio of products
