FRANWORKS GROUP OF COMPANIES - Marketing Coordinator (Elephant & Castle)

We create and own concepts and brands to fill market niches in the food service and hospitality sectors. We are the backstage and on-stage contributors to your favorite restaurant brands including Original Joe’s, Elephant & Castle and State & Main, Anejo Restaurant & Blanco Cantina. The Franworks team grows these brands through both corporate-owned and franchise models. What You'll Do :

The Marketing Coordinator will bring their love for hospitality and deep-rooted passion for football (yes, we call it football) to a team that lives for both. This role is responsible for executing national and local marketing initiatives for Elephant & Castle, with a strong day-to-day focus on social media management, content creation, and email marketing.

We're looking for someone who’s not just a fan, but a true follower of the global game - someone who understands the energy of a Champions League knockout, the national pride of a World Cup match, the regional intensity of Concacaf, and the culture that connects fans worldwide.

The ideal candidate has experience working with North American consumer brands, thrives in fast-paced environments, and knows how to juggle priorities while keeping the brand voice sharp and relevant. This role plays a key part in positioning Elephant & Castle as the destination for match days, while building community and driving engagement around global football culture.

Key Challenges

  • Managing multiple priorities, stakeholders, and conflicting deadlines.
  • Ensuring flawless execution and accuracy in materials and communications.
  • Balancing strategic creativity with operational efficiency.\Crafting messaging that resonates with both North American audiences and the global spirit of football fandom.
  • Crafting messages that resonate with the target audience and align with brand guidelines.

Supporting Strategic Marketing Planning

  • Lead or support the creation of marketing materials that align with brand guidelines and bring E&C’s lively pub culture to life.
  • Write engaging, on-brand copy for digital and in-pub assets, especially around soccer match promotions and event activations.
  • Collaborate with Creative Team to bring ideas to life visually.
  • Manage and update brand touchpoints - from in-store signage to digital communications.
  • Execute localized marketing efforts and football-focused community partnerships.
  • Be the bridge between marketing, operations, creative, and third-party vendors.
  • Ensure all initiatives are communicated clearly and executed consistently in each restaurant.
  • Support print menu coordination and on-premise material distribution.
  • Social Media & Email Marketing

  • Own the social media calendar for Elephant & Castle, including content development, scheduling, publishing, and engagement.
  • Produce platform-appropriate content—both copy and visuals—that captures our tone and connects with our followers (especially football fans!).
  • Monitor channels daily and engage with guests, building an active and positive online community.
  • Plan, write, and deploy email marketing campaigns that support promotions, events, and loyalty initiatives.
  • Track analytics and optimize performance based on engagement and reach.
  • Project Management

  • Build, manage, and execute detailed project plans in Basecamp, including timelines, task assignments, and deadlines.
  • Effectively manage your time and priorities, including project planning, execution and follow up.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to align on deliverables.
  • Track progress, identify roadblocks, and maintain accountability for on-time, on-brand execution.
  • Marketing Accounting Support

  • Process and code marketing invoices and expenses, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation.
  • Experience / Skills / Technical Knowledge :

  • 2-5 years in a marketing or communications role, ideally with a North American consumer or hospitality brand.
  • Experience managing social media and email marketing content planning for a brand.
  • Strong written and visual storytelling skills with the ability to create engaging content from scratch.
  • Passion for football—whether you're in the stands, watching from the pub, or keeping up with matchday storylines, your love of the game shines through.
  • Proficiency in content creation tools (Canva, Meta Suite, TikTok, CapCut).
  • Agency or multi-location brand experience is a plus.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an adaptability to change.
  • Education / Professional Credentials :

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
