About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Platform Product Manager with a strong background in APIs, webhooks, event services, and SaaS / PaaS platforms.

This role combines product management expertise with technical knowledge, driving product success through collaboration with internal teams and delivering exceptional value to our customers.

You will manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation to execution ensuring our platform products meet customer needs and stay aligned with industry trends.

A significant part of the role involves supporting customer-facing initiatives, providing functional expertise during onboarding, and working closely with the R&D team to define and enhance platform components.

Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Product Platform , you will play a key role in shaping the future of our platform services.

You'll collaborate closely with customers, product managers, UX designers, and other cross-functional teams, becoming the go-to expert on platform products.

Your strategic, customer-centric approach will thrive in our agile, product-led environment, where delivering measurable outcomes and optimizing the user experience are top priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Lifecycle Ownership : Take full responsibility for the entire product lifecycle, from vision to execution, using quantitative OKRs to monitor and ensure product success and value delivery.
  • Roadmap Definition : Define, communicate, and maintain a clear product roadmap, outlining timelines and milestones for API, Platform components, third-party integrations, and SSO features.

Proactively address challenges, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer value delivery.

  • Advocacy & Stakeholder Management : Serve as the internal and external advocate for API, Platform products, third-party integrations, and SSO services, building strong relationships with key stakeholders (developers, partners, and business teams) to drive product awareness and adoption.
  • Customer Engagement : Engage directly with customers to deeply understand their technical and business needs. Translate these insights into API, platform, and integration requirements that guide product development.

Ensure our platform products meet the diverse needs of enterprise customers, including scalability, reliability, and secure SSO capabilities.

Customer Implementation Support : Act as a subject-matter expert on API, Platform products, and third-party integrations during customer implementation projects.

Guide external teams through onboarding, integration, and ensure alignment with best practices in security (SSO), observability, and API management.

Post-Implementation Support : Provide ongoing functional and technical support for Platform-related products, including third-party integrations, SSO services, and cloud observability tools during post-implementation phases.

Assist in troubleshooting issues and facilitate timely resolution by collaborating with R&D and support teams.

Pre-Sales & Technical Expertise : Participate in pre-sales activities by demonstrating API, Platform product, third-party integration, and cloud observability capabilities.

Offer technical expertise during RFP / RFI processes and address any customer queries related to platform components.

Technical Collaboration : Work closely with R&D teams to define technical specifications, API endpoints, third-party integration touchpoints, and Platform-specific components.

Ensure alignment between product requirements, technical execution, and successful API versioning, security (SSO), and architecture improvements.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, sales, marketing, and customer success) to ensure product-market fit, drive product success, and create a seamless user experience across the Platform, its APIs, third-party integrations, SSO, and observability solutions.
  • Data-Driven Decisions : Use qualitative and quantitative data, including API usage metrics, customer feedback, and cloud observability analytics, to drive iterative improvements.

Ensure the Platform's performance, scalability, and security (SSO) are aligned with business and user needs.

Monitoring & KPIs : Regularly assess API, Platform, and third-party integration KPIs, such as uptime, response times, API usage rates, and customer satisfaction.

Utilize cloud monitoring and observability tools to identify areas for optimization and drive continuous improvements.

Governance & Security : Ensure compliance with governance standards, data privacy regulations, and security best practices related to API, platform development, SSO services, and third-party integrations.

Maintain API documentation, authentication protocols, and security models to support robust and compliant API consumption.

Versioning & Change Management : Lead API versioning, deprecation, third-party integration management, and change management processes.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date API documentation and create seamless feedback loops with customers to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption during platform updates.

Market Insights & Trends : Stay informed on market trends, competitive analysis, and industry best practices in API management, SSO, third-party integrations, and cloud observability.

Share insights internally and externally, establishing yourself as a subject-matter expert in these domains.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technical product management or in a technical leadership role , with a focus on Platform and API products.
  • Hands-on experience with API lifecycle management, versioning, and Platform components.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with engineering and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable platform solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Experience leading product roadmaps and managing the product lifecycle from vision through execution.
  • Strong ability to engage with customers to gather technical and business requirements, ensuring Platform products meet their needs.
  • Data-driven approach , using metrics and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Effective communicator and leader , experienced in evangelizing platform products both internally and externally.
  • Knowledgeable in compliance and governance related to platform and API development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enterprise Software Experience : Proven ability to manage Platform solutions for enterprise customers, focusing on reliability, customization, and integration capabilities.
  • Multi-Tenancy : Experience managing SaaS platforms with multi-tenant architectures.
  • Monetization Experience : Experience in defining and executing monetization strategies for Platform products, including tiered pricing models for APIs and SaaS offerings, is a strong plus.
