Job description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee and lead engineering projects, ensuring they meet our high standards for quality, efficiency, and timeliness. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical engineering background with proven project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solution-oriented approach. You will play a key role in managing resources, budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams to achieve project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Management : Develop detailed project plans, define scope, objectives, and deliverables, and manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to completion.
  • Budget and Resource Allocation : Oversee project budgets, manage resources, and work closely with procurement and suppliers to ensure materials and equipment meet specifications.
  • Team Collaboration : Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality assurance, to achieve project goals.
  • Technical Oversight : Provide guidance on mechanical design, analysis, and problem-solving; review engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Risk Management : Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to avoid delays, cost overruns, and quality issues.
  • Stakeholder Communication : Maintain clear and regular communication with clients and stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, milestones, and any necessary adjustments.
  • Compliance and Safety : Ensure all projects meet regulatory standards and safety guidelines; promote a safe working environment for all team members.

Requirements

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience : 5+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 3 years in project management.
  • Certification : PMP (Project Management Professional) or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.
  • Technical Skills :
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and design principles.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, or similar).
  • Soft Skills :
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
