Metro College of Technology is a career college located in Toronto, Ontario. Since 1998 it has successfully been delivering career-focused training programs to the public. The college has trained its students with state of the art knowledge and skills to meet today’s dynamic job market demand. The programs at Metro College of Technology cover engineering & technology, information technology, and digital marketing and accounting / ERP. Currently we are looking for a program advisor to join our student admission team to recruit students.

Key Duties

As program advisor, you will perform the following key duties :

1.   Providing prospective students with course information over the phone, via emailing and / or online live video meeting

2.   Making appointments to interview them in person or on a digital platform

3.   Interviewing prospective students

4.   Giving them orientation on how to prepare for a successful learning experience as an adult learner

5.    Assisting prospective student to select the program / course that will well prepare their careers

6.   Assisting them with financial aid application if applicable

7.   Following them up to build a stronger relationship

8.   Registering them as students

9.   Participating in lead generation activities when required

10. Reporting to the director of admission office regularly

11. Participating in team meetings and the college meetings as required

Qualifications :

You must meet the following qualifications :

• a university degree
• at least 4 years of successful consultative sales or similar experience
• able to work with MS Word, MS Excel and a CRM software program fluently
• able to communicate with clients and co-workers effectively both in writing and speaking
• able to learn new knowledge and skills quickly and able to apply them in your daily duties
• good customer service skills
• professional manner over the phone
• patient and approachable
• result-driven while maintaining a high level of integrity
• a self-starter with minimal supervision

Start date : as soon as possible.

Compensation : Base Salary : $55 K / Year + Commission : $20 K-40 K / Year +annual bonus
