Terratek Energy is seeking a qualified Red Seal Journeyman Electrician with a passion for clean energy to join our team. This position requires a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to work on installations for a variety of solar and solar plus storage projects that are central to Terratek Energy’s business.

Bonus salary of paid travel time to and from the job site.

Responsibilities Include :

  • Supervisor to Field Crew.
  • Installation of PV Modules and DC runs.
  • Installation of PV Balance of Systems and AC runs.
  • Lifting and transporting solar panels and other materials.
  • Installation of Battery Back-up systems (Tesla).
  • Installation of EV car charger installations for commercial and residential projects.
  • Installation of Conduit and Building / MC Cabling.
  • Commercial and Residential Panel Work.
  • Installation of Transformers and Inverters.
  • Working off plans to complete designed installation.
  • Attention to detail when completing all tasks.
  • Capable of working in a safe and efficient manner outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to all clients throughout the installation process and communicates well with colleagues.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications :

  • Experience in residential and commercial electrical, construction or roofing systems is an asset.
  • Good understanding of the safe use of hand-held and power tools.
  • Basic understanding of photovoltaic systems and electrical components an asset.
  • Passionate and open-minded about the solar industry.
  • Ability to work meticulously in both independent and collaborative settings.
  • Comfortable with heights.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Solar training is a plus.
  • Leadership skills and experience managing a small crew an asset.

    Compensation : Starting salary of $40 per hour or more based on experience + Paid travel time that matches your hourly salary + medical + dental + vision + RRSP company match.
