Compensation
$34 to $38 per hour, plus benefits.
Position Description
Working the day shift (7am to 3pm), you will be responsible for moving, installing, and setting up machines and equipment, including lathes and boring mills, conducting machine maintenance such as oiling and belt changes, performing installations by setting footings, leveling machinery, and positioning motors and countershafts, and providing guidance and assistance to apprentices.
- Maintain presses, rolling mills, molding machines, and other production equipment.
- Perform repairs and lubrication of machines and other equipment.
- Dismantle and relocate machinery as needed.
- Assemble and install equipment, such as drive shafts and conveyors.
- Secure machines to foundations or structures using bolts, welds, rivets, or other methods.
- Operate tool room equipment.
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required.
- Availability for overtime and willingness to assist as needed based on customer demands.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workspace and equipment at the end of each shift.
- Communicate issues or problems to the supervisor or manager.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to compute ratios and percentages.
- Knowledge of WHMIS / GHS standards.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations as outlined in the company handbook.
- Comply with IATF 16949 quality management standards, BOS Procedures, and ISO 14001.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and maintain 5S standards.
- Attend required training sessions.
- Perform job functions safely and in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by management.
Experience
Prior automotive manufacturing experience is your advantage.
Qualifications
- Must hold a 443A Millwright certificate.
- Required education includes a certificate from a college or technical school, or equivalent experience of five years in a related field.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills for various mechanical and maintenance issues.
- Ability to understand and follow written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Forklift and overhead crane licenses are your advantage.

443A license required.
