Are you a seasoned operational leader with a proven track record of driving business efficiency and growth? We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee all operations and lead a high-performing team for our client, a privately held industry leader with a specialized niche in transportation, freight, and logistics.

With a commitment to safety, efficiency, and innovation, this role is central to the company’s ongoing success and growth.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the General Manager will lead and streamline the company's operations. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Leading and mentoring a team of 7 direct reports, an extended team of 18-20 at the HQ, and additional drivers.
  • Driving revenue growth, managing budgets, and achieving financial targets.
  • Overseeing P&L, identifying gaps, and implementing best practices.
  • Innovating operational strategies to increase efficiency while staying true to the company’s culture.
  • Hands-on leadership and implementation of best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations, profitability, expenditures, and staffing.
  • Develop operational policies aligned with business vision and growth goals.
  • Drive efficiency across all departments, including HR, finance, accounting, sales, and marketing.
  • Manage budgeting, KPIs, training, and team development to ensure a high-performance work environment.
  • Make key strategic decisions in staffing, resource allocation, and growth initiatives.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has a background in operations or general management, ideally in high-growth, family-owned and entrepreneurial organizations within the transportation or logistics sectors.

We are looking for a visionary leader who :

  • Has 7+ years of experience in operations / general management.
  • Demonstrates strong P&L management and operational excellence.
  • Is strategic, proactive, and adaptable, comfortable with both high-level strategy and hands-on execution.
  • Holds a Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in business or a related field.
