Position Summary :

  • Responsible for performing equipment installations and movements, preventative maintenance, parts ordering, service repairs work on coffee / beverage dispensing equipment for a designated customer base
  • Supervise Service Technician team and Service Partners (SP)

Essential Job Functions Summary :

  • Responsible for supervising, managing technician and SP workload and Workflow , timely from acceptance to completion of dispatched calls on a daily basis within geographical area.
  • System support & approving equipment replacement
  • Performance, and report on KPI metrics.
  • Maintain and control spare parts inventory, following company guidelines for reordering
  • Maintain company vehicle in safe and appropriate manner. Follow rules and regulations in highway Safety Code.
  • Responsible for consignment parts for internal techs and SP
  • Delegate tasks and set deadline.
  • Ensure that performance of service activities meets all Standard Operating Procedures and are executed in compliance with all published policies and processes.
  • Perform troubleshooting (remote or onsite),training internal tech or SP, repair, programming with a computer and preventive maintenance on Coffee / beverage equipment in the field
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled service activities including service calls, Food shows events, installations, and removals.
  • Required to schedule and participate in ’On Call’’ service rotation with other Service Technicians, providing after hours and weekend / long weekend service to customers.

On call’’ service rotation frequency will be determined with the number of technicians working for the region and technician is expected to carry company issued communication device and be accessible during this time.

  • Travel to customer site, develop and maintain good customer relations, capable of interacting with customers and staff, offering assistance and training where needed, ensuring the company is always represented in a positive and professional manner.
  • Create an inspiring team environment with cross functional teams and with an open communication base on the Smucker basic beliefs

Qualifications :

  • High School diploma
  • 3 years of technical experience
  • Electrical and / or plumbing experience preferred, appliance repair, refrigeration
  • Valid driver’s licence and clean driver record - background check will be conducted by Smucker 3rd party vendor
  • Able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs
  • Excellent oral and written communication & leadership skills
  • Decision-making skills
  • Good Microsoft Windows & computer skills
  • Must be willing / able to participate in On Call rotation and Food show events as scheduled and do overtime if need it
  • Self-motivated with ability to prioritize and make job related decisions
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Able to Travel 10% of time
  • Eagerness to learn and willing to take new task and responsibilities
