Reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, the Director of Sales and Marketing will : Oversee the sales team's activity reports on a weekly basis, and work with them to direct their efforts in relation to the company's strategy.Promote a working environment in the sales office and actively participate in the organizational initiatives.Implement programs and promotions by developing sales plans to achieve the hotel's goals.Maintains a balance between the occupancy rate, the segmentation of different markets and the average price to reach the RevPar budget.Provide marketing support as needed.Target, solicit and sign new accounts in required markets.Perform maintenance, support and growth of existing accounts.Conduct external client visits, telephone solicitation and site inspection visits to build relationships and consolidate market segments.Sign agreements and contracts for short, medium and long term.Establish market research to develop strategies for developing market segments in specific segments.Participate in various events and source potential companies and organizations related to the hotel and tourism industry.Prepare and submit monthly reports, evaluate and apply appropriate actions and measures.Prepare marketing plan, budgets, and forecast reports when required.Achieve and exceed revenue quota on a monthly and quarterly basis.Must be able to work flexible hours to meet client's needs.Must participate in the hotel's Manager on Duty program.Any other duties related to the position.Experience, training and desired skillsMinimum of 3 years' experience as Sales Manager, with group base and individual business travelers.Experience in sales, as well as leadership and training skills.Diploma in hotel / hospitality or tourism an asset.Must demonstrate excellent organization, presentation, customer service and communication skills.Negotiation and prospecting skills.Sales training is an asset.Must have established contacts, as well as knowledge of the hotel and tourism industry and market knowledge.Must demonstrate attention to detail.Bilingual in both official languages of CanadaThe use of French is the first welcome language for our customers.
