Make an impact with our Indigenous Services team as Senior Manager, Management Consulting. This diverse team of professionals works with more than 250 Indigenous peoples, groups, and organizations across the country and shares a passion for learning and understanding their history, culture, and contributions to our country. As a trusted advisor, you’ll provide expertise to empower Indigenous communities, organizations, businesses, and individuals in navigating a dynamic social, political, and economic environment.

We are seeking a dynamic leader to spearhead consulting engagements that empower Indigenous governments and enterprises. This is a unique opportunity to drive impactful change and contribute to the growth of Indigenous communities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of consulting projects, including business planning, feasibility studies, strategic planning, operational planning, and financial analyses.
  • Identify creative solutions that enhance client value, ensuring their needs are met while fostering long-lasting relationships.
  • Review, design, and develop high-quality deliverables including reports, presentations, and other documents.
  • Utilize specialized knowledge to anticipate and address issues or risks, ensuring the highest quality of service for our clients.
  • Engage with the local business community to explore development opportunities and lead the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals.
  • Mentor team members to achieve their professional and personal goals by setting clear expectations, providing constructive feedback, and conducting effective performance reviews.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel to client sites as required.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics, or another related field.
  • Demonstration of advanced project management skills and tactics; certification in project management an asset.
  • Eight to nine years of consulting experience in a client-service environment with a preference for experience with Indigenous Peoples, organizations, communities, or government.
  • Proven people management, relationship building, and leadership skills.
  • Strong strategic planning and conceptual thinking abilities.
