Job description

Terms of Employment :

Permanent full-time, 37.50 hours per week

Salary and wages : 35.00 per hour

Duties / Responsibility :

  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their unique brand identities, target audiences, and business objectives.
  • Develop and implement innovative design concepts and strategies that align with client goals and reflect Magenta Design's commitment to crafting visually stunning websites.
  • Utilize cutting-edge design techniques and tools to create captivating visual imagery and user interfaces that engage visitors and drive conversions.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all web projects by establishing and adhering to design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
  • Optimize website content and features for usability, accessibility, and search engine visibility, leveraging a deep understanding of user behavior and industry trends.
  • Conduct thorough testing and analysis to identify areas for improvement and refine website designs for optimal performance and user experience.
  • Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of designers, developers, and marketers to deliver comprehensive web solutions that exceed client expectations.

Qualifications :

Education : A bachelor's degree in computer science or graphic design or completion or a college program in computer science, graphic arts, or Web design is required.

Experience : At least 1 year as a graphic designer or web designer.

Other skills / conditions :

  • Knowledgeable in some or most of the following software tools : Figma, Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, WordPress, Elementor, Shopify, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS, Web Service Design, Security Principles & Best Practices, SEO & AODA Compliance
  • Good User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid ability in both written and verbal communication.
  • Able to develop ideas and processes and clearly code them.
  • High degree of independent judgment.
  • Able to solve complex problems.
