Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright

One of our clients is looking for a Millwright at Delta, BC location for their manufacturing facility.

Pay : $44- $48 / hr

Shift : 8 hour shift Night shift

Main Tasks and Responsibilities :

Respond to service calls.

Prioritize tasks and repairs via Work Orders from Infor.

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance (PM) on plant equipment.

Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues and provide effective solutions.

Carry out basic welding and cutting.

Understand the operation of electro-mechanical components.

Manage one or more projects with minimal supervision.

Contribute to the improvement of equipment performance.

Work independently on various shifts.

Maintain good housekeeping practices and keep work areas clean and organized.

Utilize CMMS systems effectively.

Organize and maintain spare parts inventory.

Ensure hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards are met daily.

Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Complete accident / incident reports within required timeframes and take corrective measures promptly.

Perform any other related tasks as assigned.

Skills and Competencies Required :

High school diploma

Red Seal Millwright license and / or Electrician certificate

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role

Electrical and PLC experience (an asset)
