Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for the preparation and analysis of the consolidated financial statements and the review of financial reporting processes of the corporation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the monthly consolidated financial statements, the notes thereto and the related analysis;
  • Prepare the consolidated audit file;
  • Participate in the drafting of the quarterly management discussion and analysis reports;
  • Ensure continuous application as well as implementation of updates of accounting standards (IFRS);
  • Manage the financial reporting processes and systems review initiatives;
  • Support various initiatives : Cognos consolidation system, taxation requirements, consolidated budgets;
  • Assist the tax director in different projects (accounting of tax provision, tax audits and other projects);
  • Key contact resource for the subsidiaries finance personnel regarding any accounting principle and treatment question.

Qualifications

  • CPA designation (CA, CMA or CGA);
  • Minimum experience of 7 years;
  • Written and verbal bilinguilism (french and english);
  • Experience with preparation of consolidated financial statements;
  • Excellent communication skills; oral and written;
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS and ASPE;
  • Expertise of the Office suite, knowledge of advanced Excel functions;
  • Knowledge of Cognos Controller, Visual Lease and Workiva software is an asset;
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines.
