Clinical Informaticist
The Renfrew Victoria Hospital (RVH) is a 55-bed, fully accredited facility located just 45 minutes west of Ottawa, serving a catchment area of over 60,000. Part of the Renfrew and Area Health Village, RVH provides medical, surgical and complex continuing care as well as extensive ambulatory care with over 30,000 emergency and clinic visits per year.
St. Francis Memorial Hospital (SFMH) is a 20-bed, fully accredited facility located in the town of Barry’s Bay serving a catchment area of over 10,000 residents with medical and complex continuing care, and over 12,000 ED visits per year. We both use EPIC EMR, which connects us to most hospitals in our region.

Come join us! We are hiring a Permanent Full-Time (Non-Union) Clinical Informaticist to join our Health Information Systems team.
Reporting to the Director of Health Information Systems, you will work as part of the HIS team to support our teams with EPIC, our EMR. Ideally, you will come to this position with a good knowledge of EPIC; however applicants with equivalent experience will be considered. Our HIS team is highly visible and responsive and can be found on any given day providing at-elbow support, partnering with our supports internally and at TOH to solve puzzles and fix issues, make improvements and being a voice for our small community hospitals at larger regional tables. You will enhance EPIC learning, whether through tip sheets, partnering on education sessions or coming to train a locum on EPIC to ensure they can complete their shift safely. As a part of our Operations team you will support broader Accreditation and Quality Improvement initiatives, as well as other duties as appropriate / required.
You will be based at RVH (Renfrew) with the expectation to support SFMH (Barry’s Bay) as well – on-site visits from time-to time are expected.
Qualifications :
Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic requirements.
