Scope of the Position

The Battery Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for process development of various operations ( mixing, coating, calendaring ) for lithium ion battery manufacturing. This role is crucial to the scaling up of our production capabilities and improving the overall performance and reliability of our products.

Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct experiments to evaluate the performance of electrode materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrode designs into the manufacturing process.
  • Scale up laboratory-scale processes to pilot and full-scale production.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to battery manufacturing.
  • Document and report findings, maintaining comprehensive records of experiments and results.
  • Understand and support cell design activities.
  • Effectively communicate project status and proactively manage risk.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Technical Background in EV battery cell development

    Hands-on experience in lithium ion battery cell manufacturing

  • Strong understanding of electrochemical principles and materials science
  • Background in battery cell design & process

  • Demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and suppliers
  • Ability to understand customer needs and translate into product requirements
  • Able to work independently and demonstrates inherent desire to learn and improve
