About Our Opportunity
As a valued member of the System Integration Digital Health team, reporting to the Director Digital Strategy & Governance. This position is responsible for obtaining a deep understand of the digital ecosystem within the Nova Scotia Health System and lead the advisory on digital health direction in Nova Scotia.
Primary Accountabilities
This role will support the system-level governance, development of standards and supporting accountable measures of digital health in Nova Scotia. Their expectations will largely be comprised of the development and ongoing maintenance of standards, policies, measures, and monitoring of accountability on behalf of Nova Scotians. They will be supported by a team of individuals who will understand and improve the patient and provider experiences, and a resource who will assess the returns on investment, performance, and advise on investment guidance for the digital direction. This role will support the governance of broader digital standards, policies, regulation, legislation, and approaches to how Nova Scotia should best approach digital health files.
An individual who is looking to improve the way we deliver care today, continues to question the current state for a culture of continuous improvement, significant focus on detail or administrative guidance and rolls up their sleeves to drive significant change would be the ideal candidate for this. All while prioritizing the importance of relationships and fostering system level collaboration.
Qualifications and Experience
As the ideal candidate for this position, you will have a bachelor’s degree plus several years of progressive experience in a related field. An acceptable equivalent combination of training or experience may be considered.

In addition to the above, you will possess strong skills in Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability and desire to learn new programs. Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 for the purpose of correspondence management would be considered an asset.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills and have a high level of competence in both written and verbal communication. As decisions and recommendations may be highly sensitive and political, you will have excellent judgement, a high degree of professionalism along with respect for discretion and confidentiality of information. You must be able to effectively prioritize and respond to high volumes of work.
