Modernization Project
Support the Sr Project Manager to manage, track and update the project schedule and associated documentation
Provide support to the project team and partners to complete and manage all required project documentation
Create and manage project schedules, deliverables, dependencies, and accountabilities using MS Project
Perform day-to-day project coordination and administration activities such as tracking, reporting, following up on action items, taking meeting minutes, creating briefing or presentation materials
Contribute to integrated project plans ensuring horizontal integration of all milestones, deliverables, & interdependencies
Monitor and manage project Risk, Action, Issue and Deliverable (RAID) logs
Assist in the coordination of project resources to deliver on specific deliverables and milestones according to approved project plan including the resolution of risks and issues
Collaborate with client and Supplier Project Leads to ensure project deliverables meet their specific requirements
Bring forward and communicate any risks, issues, and status within & across different PSRN projects and teams
Prepare Project Leads in presenting status reporting of project milestones and deliverables for specific roll up and project governance committees
Develop and review project status reports and scorecards according to an approved integrated plan
Manage project documentation, version control, storage and tracking of deliverables
Assist with coordination of meetings including creation of agendas, capture minutes and action items and follow up activities
Junior Project Manager / Leader Mandatory Skills
Proficiency in creating and managing project schedules using MS Project
Knowledgeable in Project Management principles and methodologies
Experience with facilitating meetings and creating and managing associated documents including minutes and action items
Effective communication and consultation skills to build and manage relationships.
Identify and analyze issues and problems and make appropriate recommendations for resolutions
Effective communication skills to take complex information and present issues in a clear logical manner
Knowledge of radio and / or telecommunications systems would be beneficial
5+ years of Project Management experience
Project Management Skills
Demonstrated experience leading or supporting the management of projects with emphasis on I&IT projects
Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., agile and waterfall) and principles
Ability to build, update and maintain detailed project schedules in MS Project ensuring activities are tracked to completion and associated artifacts
Effective management of risk, action, issue, decision (RAID) logs and project status reports
Time management skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks with competing priorities and strict deadlines
Experience working independently and with business and technology teams
Expertise with PM tools (e.g., MS Project, Gantt charts, etc.)
Relationship Management
Interpersonal skills to collaborate with the ministry project teams, client ministries and vendors
Consultative and negotiation skills to resolve conflicts
Ability to understand the impact of decisions on different groups
Foster and build productive relationships
Communication and Presentation Skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to create and share presentations, and project communication materials to technical project team members or business stakeholders
Creating reports and dashboards on project status
Ability to effectively facilitate meetings with different technical and business groups and stakeholders and share meeting minutes and action item logs
Proficiency with Outlook and MS Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Vision
Analytical and Problem Solving
Ability to identify issues or problems, gather relevant information and perform analysis and build reports to support decision-making on project scope, schedule, cost
Accurately document issues, gaps, and inconsistencies when they happen
Communicate issues with options considered and recommended actions
