Our clients have a wide range of physical and / or developmental disabilities, communication disorders, autism, and some of the children we care for are blind and / or deaf. Serving Halton, Peel, Dufferin – and for some of our services – Waterloo and Wellington – ErinoakKids has approximately 700 staff members and four locations from which we provide a comprehensive array of medical, therapy and support services that help children and their families. Our main services include Autism Services, Communication Services, Infant Hearing Services, Medical Services, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Vision Services. The Opportunity : ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment and Development is seeking experienced and dedicated Developmental Pediatricians or General Pediatricians, to join our teams in an integrated clinic model. The successful candidates will be dynamic and passionate physicians with specialization in autism and interest in working in the following inter professional clinic : Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Diagnostic Clinic Primary responsibilities include working within an inter professional team to conduct comprehensive developmental assessments, consultations as well as assigning appropriate diagnoses and determining an appropriate course of treatment within the clinic model. Perseverance, dedication, and patience are a few key attributes important in the role. Qualifications : MD or equivalent degree with specialization in Pediatrics or Developmental Pediatrics preferred Certification or be eligible for certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) and be licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) Knowledge of Ontario's healthcare system and OHIP billing Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with client families and a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide family-centered services Join us on our mission to make a difference and impact on the lives of children and youth with disabilities.
