About the Role
Brookfield Renewable is seeking a self-starter Business System Analyst with 3-5 years of experience maintaining business processes and drafting system requirements (operational and technical).
The Business System Analyst will join our growing Business Applications Solutions Team. The Business System Analyst will report to the Manager of Business Applications Solutions and support applications such as our GRC platform used globally by our operating businesses and M365 applications such as SharePoint Teams and OneDrive.
Duties will include implementing new modules within the Corporate’s Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) application, creating user reference documentation, and strengthening existing processes while working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Business applications in terms of configurations.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements.
- Effectively translate business needs and requirements into a clear, concise, and complete requirement list.
- Document and formalize existing processes.
- Lead initiatives in expanding and optimizing the use of the GRC platform.
- Following up on feedback received from our global businesses and users and acting upon such feedback to further enhance the application's functionality, including automation of processes.
- Recommend changes to processes and propose alternative solutions to continuously improve our processes
- Execute and facilitate daily activities related to managing applications.
- Create and maintain reference documentation for users
- Liaising with vendors and consultants
Knowledge and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 3-5 years in documenting business processes and system requirements.
- Previous experience with GRC tools like (One Trust, Archer, MetricStream, etc.) or similar tools is an asset.
- Previous experience with supporting M365 applications like SharePoint, Teams One drive
- Previous experience in compliance, risk management or privacy an asset.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and effectively manage time.
- Facilitates collaboration and conflict resolution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A good understanding of technical and non-technical concepts and ability to effectively communicate these concepts to various stakeholders.
- Dynamic, self-starter and learner.
Note : Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively.
