Required Qualifications
In order to be eligible for this position, candidates must :
Have retired from a WRDSB Secondary School within the last five (5) years
Be in Good Standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
Have Intermediate / Senior Qualifications. Candidates with Primary / Junior or Junior / Intermediate qualifications only are not eligible to apply.
Be available to begin occasional teaching immediately.
NOTE : Retired secondary teachers, that meet the qualification requirements, are encouraged to apply to the general Secondary Occasional Teaching posting through Apply to Education, if they would prefer to :
Be eligible to teach at any WRDSB secondary school.
Have access to the Easyconnect job board and to book OT jobs in advance, including LTO positions.

Two (2) Administrator References from the school that the candidate retired from.
There is no interview involved in this application process. An internal screening process will occur to determine successful applicants.

IIt is the expectation of the Board that you know and adhere to the rules of the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (TPP). It would be advisable to contact them about working after you retire as there is a limit on the number of days you can work in a school year after retirement without interrupting your pension.
