Our team is searching for a knowledgeable and results oriented Director, Financial Planning and Analysis to oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, while collaborating with Asset Management to enhance self-storage facility profitability through revenue growth and cost control. Provide financial analysis and strategic insights, support cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. WHAT WILL YOU DO? Oversee financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, fair value, and key performance indicators reporting. Collaborate with Asset Management to develop and execute strategies to enhance the performance and profitability of self-storage facilities, focusing on revenue growth and cost control. Assist in formulating and implementing strategic plans to achieve long-term objectives and operational efficiencies. Analyze financial and operational data to provide insights and recommendations for improving asset performance. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key performance metrics and financial trends. Collaborate with and support the finance, asset management, operations, and investments / acquisitions teams, providing guidance and expertise on financial matters and asset management strategies. Ensure that all financial practices comply with industry regulations and company policies. WHAT WILL YOU NEED? A degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field is generally required. Holding or working towards CFA, CAIA, or equivalent professional delegation would be an asset. 8+ years of related experience. Experience within the self-storage or real estate industry is considered an asset. Superior background in analytics, math, and problem solving. Ability to manage time effectively to handle competing demands and meet tight deadlines. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools as well as excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills. Willing to travel within Canada or the US as required.
